It is still business as usual for Tabernacle’s Foodbank despite this month’s peak holiday season.
The Foodbank remains open every Wednesday morning at the church in High Street, Newbridge from 10am until noon thanks to the hard-working team of volunteers. Pastor Peter Cho said the need for this service is growing and it is one great way that we can show individuals and families in our community that Jesus loves them.
“I would like to thank our dedicated team of volunteers who sacrifice their time and effort to support the Foodbank and also the many generous individuals and organisations who make regular donations of food and cash”, he said.
A recent audit showed that 54 people are currently registered with the Foodbank and there are a further 63 (children and adults) as dependents.
Delivered as part of the Caerphilly, Torfaen and Monmouthshire Food4Growth programme, this project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. #UKCOMMUNITYRENEWALFUND.
